I have a boiler-heated concrete floor in my basement and always pipe-dreamed the idea of getting a heated floor somehow under my garden up here in the north for better spring and fall growing.
It was always a pipe dream and never thought much of it. Then I see pictures of Eddy's "pipe dream" come to life in his greenhouse.
He's for real.

I believe Dale Marshall up in Alaska has pipes running in his green house as well.

Wow, is that is impressive. If there was a way to control the soil temp without overheating or over cooling at night you would have it.

I had the fans on a timer, and using 24 in compost thermometers, but will be installing thermostats in the ground so the fans only run when needed, much like the heating cables have but with a settable setting. I need to run the temp up in the spring, then back way off in July. Need to get into drip as apposed to overhead watering. As I said this got so far ahead of me, so fast that by the time I realized I was on a crash course, it was too late, BUT in this game there is always next year.
