Congratulations Steve Daletas for your awesome 1997 lb pumpkin grown off the 2032 Mathison! Also, I would like to commend Steve on bringing a fruit that officially weighed 2059 lbs. Steve DQ'd this fruit before he brought it due to a tiny pin hole in the ribs. The judges didn't even see the hole first time over, however Steve informed them of the defect after they looked it over. A class act by a class guy. We are very proud of our NW champion. Good luck in the next couple weeks!

Steve is a great guy and I have experienced first hand how he will take time out of his day to just say congratulations to another grower. He has been generous with information and also his seeds in the past and present. Back in the day Steve sent me one of his 783 Daletas seeds and my resulting offspring was one of my first entries to a weigh off.

Great job on getting these two amazing pumpkins to the scale (even though one was a dmg).
