Way to go Steve Porkchop! What an outstanding showing with your pumpkin at CNY Pumpkinfest. Hitting the 1,500 plus barrier with you pumpkin is fantastic. Steve has had great performances with tomatoes, squash and long gourds. Be on the lookout for a "Master Gardener" title at some point in the future guys. Steve really knows what he's doing when it comes to growing! A class act and very humble guy too!

Omg .. We are still in shock...thanks guys...what special day yesterday was..this will be a season we we always remeber and it could very well be all "downhill" from here but wow what a special day in oswego...purple.. I'm not so sure about the humble thing... I was Layin in the horn like i was headed to fire all the way home!!!...

To put it all in perspective, he grew a tomato over 7 pounds this year that is just about at the top on the GPC list on the site right now. He came in at 3rd at the CNY Pumpkinfest with a Squash at 890.50 pounds and also with a Pumpkin grown off of his own seed from last year he came in at number one, which was with a 1543.50 pound pumpkin. If you haven't already checked out his grower diary, please do. It's highly entertaining! It's one of the best I've seen.
