Man......I'm getting some serious pumpkin envy seeing all these 1500 lb plus pumpkins and then looking at my excuse for a pumpkin.

The weather where I live seems like a life long handicap holding me back. Learn more, improve soil etc etc and bang....mother nature holds you back.

I hear ya - I'm in the same boat - you just need to justify your shortcomings with excuses. Bad weather, small patch, no greenhouse, critters, disease... Once you're content blaming things that may or may not be in your control it becomes easy to be at one with yourself.
