After flooding, frost in July, a heat wave (both in one week time), a storm here and there and more flooding, lost all tomato plants, all but one marrow, all but one FP, a 2009 Wallace, all giant radishes, almost all tall corn, all sunflowers, all but one giant carrot and about half of the giant beets and mangolds, all 5 long gourds, all runner beans, all giant cucumbers. And the rest is heavily stunted. Other than that, it should be okay.

I'm pretty much down to 1 pumpkin and its only two weeks old and is showing growing signs of stem rot which I cannot cure. dug it out, put fungicide on it, exposed it to the sun to dry it out. Nothing. Just a chronic year of crap :)

I made it to early June, and pulled everything deciding to take a year off so the area can rest (sucks now but best for long run).

Pumpkins and watermelons doing better than ever, but still not up to heavy hitter status by a long shot. Bugs have not been much of a problem, but we have a plague of rabbits. Long gourds have disease problems but we finally have a couple growing. Field pumpkins have some PM and one plant has an undiagnosed problem. May and June were very wet, July and August a little on the dry side.

BIG SHOW DOG

Kentucky, U.S.A.

Started out very nicely, picked up a HD at Indiana State Fair and second place, too ad it was only 600.5lbs. Three more kin, but not adding any pounds the last three weeks. Hope to clear 500 on the smallest, 550, and 700 on the only one still moving the tape a little. A couple of greens may break 400 if I'm lucky. No PBs this year!

This is what I really like about this hobby, you really don't know what's going to happen year to year ...so many variables .. so when things are going good let everybody know ..cause might not be so good next year..that being said tomorrows the day, we'll weigh our last shot and see were we stand..yikes
