Still waiting on the New Zealand government to get back to us as we have asked for clarification on requirements and running on almost 45 days now. Your season down under is quickly approaching Trying trying and trying but not getting much in the way of forward progress Haven't given up on you guys Eddy

It comes down to the fact that these rules are in place, but nobody knows what they exactly are or how do implement them It's no different than when I imported and exported birds. couple things took 2 years to get worked out.
We will make this work eventually

Thank you, Eddy, for your efforts to get seeds from North America to New Zealand.

Guess we could send some "clean seeds" declare them, and see....if they make it, in a small amount...

Did that and they were returned with more info required. there in lies the problem because they can't define more info required yet. It would be easy if we were sending uniform crop (ie Barley) Their issue is each seed is separate and from a different producer. As it sits, I would need to do a phyto for each individual seed. that in itself would translate to a crap load of money to do

Have you tried to send the seeds in a stealth type package?

That's been tried and failed. The problem with that is that if your sending 2009's 2032's 1985's etc etc and they get confiscated, we're out the seeds, and the law in New Zealand states the receiving party can get a 10,000.00 dollar fine and or Jail time. It's just best if we do this legally

Do Not send covert seeds to New Zealand, declaring them as guitar picks doesn't work either.

The screws were tightened last December, and a legitimate package will take 3 weeks to get to New Zealand from the states due to customs inspection.
Heed the warnings of Iceman and SkyWizzy, both for your sake and the sake of the intended recipient(s).

It's a bit crazy and they didn't have any plans in place for people that only want a couple of seeds. Will see if something can be worked out, the wheels turn slowly though.
