Subject: shade cloth question

Earlier this year I was using a large light beach towel for a shade cloth and a movable hoop house with synthetic tarp attached to keep it dry. As the pumpkin grew, it became to cumbersome and time consuming to continue manage the movable hoop set up. I got rid of it and now cover with the towel and drape the synthetic material over the towel. Just wondering if this could cause heat stress to the fruit itself, especially on hot days

yes i think it would burn the skin. I have burned one(and lost it) when my tarps rope broke and it layed on the kin for one afternoon
