I had my largest go down with a blossom split on 8-12/8-13 last year. I left it on the vine for a week before harvesting, but that pumpkin stayed solid until I arrived home from our wedding on 9-24. It was just starting to get soft on the outside.

You usually have about 2 weeks after the split before it starts the march towards stinky. That should put you in range for mature seeds.
I had a similar situation in 2012, I think the late set finished in the 5-600# range:

BES last year at 49dap. Two weeks later I tried to remove it by breaking it apart with a shovel and other tools. What a stinky, soupy mess! andy is right. About half of the 300 or so seeds were rotten. I just let the plant do its thing afterwards and produces several pumpkins 100-200lbs off tertiaries by Halloween.

I had one that had a basketball sized blossom end hole. kept growing until I took it to the weigh off to get a weight. rotted soon after it was cut but that thing never stopped growing and it didn't rot until it was cut from the vine. I took a spray bottle with some bleach and water (heavy on the bleach) and would sray the split edges and into the cavity. It never rotted! I have one with a BES with every growing daily gains and 113 pounds on day 18. I want to set another pumpkin, though so it will be removed soon

also adding to keep it well covered so bugs don't get inside. If you can keep it covered and use that bleach, it likely will keep going! Mine was a new PB for me

I had a BES last year on my 1813 30 DAP. I left to Florida the next day and got back a week later and it had put on close to another 200 pounds. It was rotting and stinky, but looked good up front for more pics with my kids. Split was over a foot across by then too and it had to go.

I had one rib split three weeks before the weigh off... a latex caulk is best to use since its water based... and you can continue to add to the "pumpkin bandage" the fruit will keep growing... and I kept sealing... Its important not to let water into the cavity... this will take it down in days... Mine kept growing for 3 weeks, made the weigh off as a DMG... kept it covered for another 4 weeks.... we dropped it from 200 feet the day after Halloween... I harvested all the seeds...with only a few bad ones... So keep it dry... and apply a latex based caulk.... Good Luck

We lost our 777 Young today to BES. Today is 33 DAP. What is considered the minimum DAP for viable mature seeds?
