Hi all, I've been looking in past diaries and need some help. have any of you grown and completed a season with a misshapen fruit? If so was there anything different or special you did to ensure you made it to a Weighoff? Mine has a very large dip at the in the mid section and I can't help but think it will turn into a rib split in the next month. Any help or pictures would be very appreciated.

Slow and steady try and keep it consistent on water and pray a lot no sudden surges help as well also keep the area water free as much as you can

Thank you freind, I had a birdbath a few years back, but it didn't worry me as much.

I see more misshappen fruit hit the scales than perfect shape fruit. I think you would have more to worry about if your pumkin or whatever was perfect. I've only been to the scales once with a kin and it was a doosy of a birdbath but I kept it steady on watering, etc. Big City Grower is Correct, Slow n Steady. Each day that goes by without a split increases your odds that you'll be OK because of more wall thickness in growth. Good Luck and Have Fun!!
