Subject: My stump is splitting, what do I do

My stump is splitting at the stump.My stup must be at least 16' . It is opening up in to areas . Do I let it heal it self or peroxide and sulfer? If so how much?

Yes, wipe down with peroxide.... Paint w captan and keep dry....(that's my guess)

I think if it is dry and you keep it dry there isn't a problem. You can apply sulfur to a fresh split and put a fan on it to dry it out If its soft use peroxide to clean away the dead material then keep a fan on it. If you cover it with glass the sun can shine on it but it will keep the rain off
