I always liked this time of year when the pumpkins really kick into high gear. Weigh offs are a fun time too, I just don't like the colder weather. What's your favorite time of year?

Fall, college football, leaves changing, big Smallmouth bite, hunting, camping, Halloween (all based around my kids now).

Mid April to mid May, as things green up, the turkeys are gobbling, and trout and crappie are biting. October is close second, with weigh offs, bow and muzzleloader deer seasons, fall colors, cool mornings, and the fish put on the feedbag before winter.

September, the weather is nice and hopefully there is a bountiful harvest in the garden.

I like this time of year too Jordon, Vine burying is done, and pumpkins are doing their thing. But my favorite time of year is the springtime, when it starts warming up enough to get out of the house and watch the wonders of nature come to life.

Yeah I kinda agree bubba, the cool fresh air in the fall can be nice. Just sad to see the pumpkins slow down to a crawl.

It should be WINTER, it´s that time of year which is not so disappointing (no failed germinations, no disease issues, no sunscald, no plants in flooded patches, no soft blossom ends...) but when there are so many new seeds available and growers are looking forward to checking their mailboxes every day (occasionally finding a bubble with seeds...the requested ones and sometimes a good load of other surprise seeds as well), when growers are making so many new and good plans for their next season and their pumpkin world is still a peaceful place, much more time for thinking about good growth, nice male and female flowers etc. rather than having nightmares of how and when and how often to kill all sorts of bugs.

Nah, winter is depressing, I'd prefer to go on holidays to Hawaii or something whenever it gets cold.

75 in the winter 75 in the summer,,,,,,,,,, hmmmmmmmm,,,,,,,,, I'll have to pick late October and having a sound pumpkin sitting on the vine a week or so before weigh off doing an inch ott a day still and having the strong possibility of a new personal best.

Does it get to hot where you live in the summer Spence?

I was driving through Alabama for 10 hours yesterday. It was HOT and humid. Only guy who I consistently see post on here with worse condition is Matt Man and that's due to polar opposite weather. Snow and hail. Did I say it was HOT in Bama?

After the winter we had in new England last year, I refuse to complain about the heat. I will take 94 degrees, humid, and sunny anyday over -20, 30mph winds, and snow every other day. Snow Blowing was getting old at 10pm at night
