Hey, I have a nice pumpkin out on the tip of a main vine. Then I have a nice kin growing on a secondary vine on the same plant. Question. should I sacrifice the kin on the secondary vine to give more nutrients to the one at the tip of the main vine, or just leave the situation the way it is? Thanks John Hoepfner Appleton, WI
Also, do nutrients flow continuously to the fruit all day long or are there periods of time that H2O flowage take a break?

Hey, what about Nitrogen? Good for kin or bad?

Hey, Yes...but does one cut the smaller kin off after it gets to basketball size or just leave it on the vine? I kinda feel the smaller one should be elliminated....John

to get the best out of the plant you should only grow one pumpkin.
Too much Nitrogen can cause the pumpkin to abort or the plant to shift back into vegetative growth (and not feed the pumpkin as much)
