Yes, What about tendrils just aft of a growing giant pumpkin that are digging solidly into the earth. Is this a problem? Should I cut the tendrils? I mean eliminate them or it, i.e., tendril? John Hoepfner Appleton, WI
PS The tendril(s) are not hooked to the pumpkin stem, just the vine inself.

Tendrils are only good to balance the plant if you go out of town. Cut them.
