Hi, I seeded some "normal" pumpkins which should become deep orange. The little pumpkins(about as big as a tennis ball) all come out bright yellow.
When will they get their orange colour?
Thanks in advance for any reaction!

The answer is: Sooner or later! It depends on how long the fruit will grow and on the variety. In the AG world the deep orange (or red) ones also start as nicely yellow colored babies and even after 30 days (= about 1/3 of their life) you have no clue how pretty their final color will be.

Yellow early is good if youre after orange. As pumpking says how much and when the color comes on varies so enjoy the process.

I know by about day 20 just how orange it will go. Once you grow a dark red/orange it's easy to pick them out later.
