can the female except pollination when there is no male flowers on the plant?

Hi Bigtim, Is this in regards to your 1969 Haist or another plant? If there are no males being produced or they are there but have no pollen the plant is probably sterile. The set will get to 15-20 days and abort. Some have posted on getting a few pumpkins to stick on plants like these but its rare See my diary with pics from my 1969. jeffp
