it appears caterpillars are helping themselves to the leaves...can I use Thuricide? I've seen same damage on planter flowers & use this successfully. Thanks!!!! SUCH AN ODD YEAR! OH...also a female flower did not open! I opened by hand & pollinated??? Any successes with that? Thanks again!!!

Use Bayer Tree and shrub for a systemic, and Bifethrin as a contact spray.... they will die... You can use BT which is an organic method for catapillarZ.. but I would use both listed above, squash bugZ are all over. Spray once per week, you can also mix a fungacide like Bravo to make a cocktail....
