I've seen the odd cuc beetle here, but no SVB yet. Should be any day now though. I usually see them around pollination time.

Funny you mentioned killing them with your hands. I was thinking the same thing. I have been able to kill 2 with my fingers while they were still sitting on a leaf.

I've never been able to catch them by hand before. They usually fly off before you can get to them.

My SVB traps have caught about 10 so far in 2 weeks.

No SVB here yet, but I expect we'll see some in early July.
