My Dad served in the Marines 5th Division, 27th Regimen. 2nd Battalion. Company D. They landed on Iwo Jima on the second wave. He has now passed on to a better life in heaven. Last year we lost our Mother, and this year we lost our Father. Please keep my family in your prayers.

Stevann, I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. It's hard to lose your parents and you have lost them one right after another. Your Dad and many others of his generation accomplished so much in their lifetimes and all without the tools and technology that is here today. Cherish your memories of him, he's looking over your shoulder now as an "at rest" Marine. You have my prayers and sympathy.

Stevann,
May you and your family find peace during this difficult time. That is such a nice photo, and such a nice tribute to your dad.

A member of the "greatest generation"! Thank God for those men. We can now do the things we do because of their selfless gift for this nation. We all honor your Dad and his brothers in arms. God Bless!
