Karl Haist warned me about an outbreak of SVB and Cuke BeetlesI checked my patch and they are doing the Australian Crawl and backstroke after all the rain here. How do they do it, I noticed they were wearing "Mae Wests" ( for the young readers- life vests from WWII)
Good luck all!

They are worse after rains or did you think rains would deter them? I haven't seen one yet which is weird

I must be lucky. I haven't seed a bug yet, And other than garlic powder the day I planted I haven't done a thing until today. I got the first shot of Merit on today.

2 traps i bought from Hollands i set up early june...1st one in a trap around the 6th....now 42 total in both traps combined....i lathered my vines and leaf stalks and lightly hit tops and bottoms of leaves over 10 inches with a hand pump sprayer as fogging early at this time is harder to control avoiding small secondary tips and females. And when the fogger comes out this time near pollination try dropping the fogger head to ground level 3 feet into interior of plant between rows of secondaries....you can use a hand pump sprayer for direct contact where you want it for areas on main near females or near new secondary or main tips.
