Is it normal for it to have a huge amount of crystalized sediment at the bottom? Easiest way to get rid of it?

never had that here...but we usually use it up in a year...did it freeze?

That will happen if it has been frozen. I don't think there is any way to reverse it and I'm not sure which nutrient crystallizes so I wouldn't use it even if you screen it out.

I have the same problem. I found mine has a thick solid block in the bottom. I must have gotten frozen before I bought it.
I just sent an e-mail to Melissa for advice on what to do with my jug.
