My 603.5 Muller 03 plant has a double mainvine. The mainvine is about 3 to 4 foot long. It hasn't separated on it's own yet. When I look at the mainvine tip, it seems near impossible to see where I could cut it, to make it a single vine. Any suggestions? Are there any grower's diaries that show "surgery" on a double vine?

One alternative may be to cut a third of the mainvine tip away, and let it grow out, and go from there.

I gave my 603 Muller a lot of water, a lot of fertilizer, and it's starting to grow a main vine. Pics in my diary tomorrow.

But it's behind about 2 weeks compared to my other plants.

My 1832 Midthun had the same issue this year it split on it's own around the 4 foot mark. As soon as it did i just pinched off the tip of one of the vines. Now it is around 7 foot and growing just fine.

I took it as a positive now i for four feet of the main have 4 sides where i should have 2! So i'm training all 4 of them.

Mine did the same as Jake. I watered it a ton and it split into two. Then I just terminated one of them.

Actually I think it's a flat vine now.
The growing tip of the main vine looks to have 3 growing tips, none of which are separating.

I'm going to start another post with the heading"Flat Vine... help needed".
