My cover crop is waist high and has seed heads forming. Just got close to 3 inches of rain and don't want to trudge through patch with weed whacker, how long do I have before seed is viable? Can I cut off the heads to avoid the seeds going in the patch once I can walk in patch and let the crop still grow?
