I don't grow there, but do fish the White River system and lakes quite a bit. Will be there in a few weeks!
ARooster is a Ark grower on here. He keeps a diary too.

I'll be starting my diary soon. ARooster lives in Little Rock, his name is Rudy. My wife and I had lunch with him a several weeks ago. Super nice guy. There was another grower last year from around Arkadelphia.
It gets really hot down here Jack. When the heat gets up your females will abort a lot. I lost all my plants to squirrels last year. This year I have trapped 12 squirrels so far. My personal best was 690 pounds in 2013. Check out my 2013 diary. Rudy has a great looking plant going, I'm hoping that he will blow 690 out of the water. Rudy, Rudy, Rudy. Good luck Jack!! Grow a big one!!

Go to youtube and put in "Arkansas Pumpkin". Beat the old record by 6 pounds, we can do a lot better than that!!
