They are gonna start getting lead poisoning now! Got home from work this afternoon to find 4 of 15 plants picked off right above the ground. 1-197 Leonard, 1-124 Young LG,, and 2-143 Jones plants gone.

Last year a flock of crows tried to take up residence in the patch. I put 3 bobble-head owls on posts. I never saw the crows again. I also put up a couple of those yellow plastic blow up balls with a big eyeball on them. You can see them in my last year's diary.

Was it birds or rabbits? Rabbits teeth are like shears, and leave just a stub sticking out of the ground.

I'm sure it was birds, they didn't eat tops, just picked them off and left on blocks I'm using for wind break.
