So, I started well known seed on the 25th of April and it has not put its head above the dirt yet. I dug them up and they are germinated just seem to have stopped growing. I dug them up 4 days ago and nothing still. Why is this? They have been on heating pads just the same as the ones that are now germinated and have their first leaves. Have my seeds just given up or has anyone had this happen? Thanks to any one who responds and good luck to all

It could be damping off with excess water being the culprit.

I have had it happen a few times. Unsure why however I simply threw them away and went with the others. Every year it seems like I have one or two that simply don't want to grow. Maybe under developed seed embryo? Even this year I had 2 .. Another seed from same kin sprouted and is amazing the other nothing.

I had exactly the same problem this year, though it's never happened to me before. Three seeds out of 5 that just didn't sprout, even under the same conditions as the ones that did, and from the same kin. The ones that sprouted are ahead of schedule, in the ground and doing great. Go figure.
