Everywhere there are growers

The 2015, 150 square feet contest registration is complete. (unless I missed someone) You can follow everyone’s progress by looking at their diaries. The current record holder is Captain97 with a Howard Dill Award winning 814.5 pound pumpkin grow in 2014. His 2014 diary is the best example of how contestants should keep their diary entries for this year. A big congrats to Captain97 for his accomplishment last year but he will have a target on his back this year, lol More than one of this year’s contestants have expressed interest in taking his crown so the pressure is on.

Those who have tried the 150 square feet growing already know it’s not as easy as it sounds with its own challenges.

Best of luck to everyone this year and lets have some fun while we are at it !

Ok, I just found space and a seedling, measured and planted a 1225 Scherber '12. Was I suppose to pre-register with someone, somewhere? I have a question regarding the 150 patch. Is there containment on the root growth? I expect to have other items right up next to the 150 patch, so it will be tended soil.

Big Show Dog, I'm sorry to say that the deadline for registration has passed for this years contest. There is no requirement to contain the roots within the 150 square feet.
