Do not let your cables intersect or overlap. They will short out and malfunction.

Also - plug them in when you're setting them. Much easier to work with when they're warmed up.

I like to set an upside down coffee can in the center of the planting side and begin the coil just outside the circumference of the can. Pre-heat the soil for a couple days. That way, when you drop the seedlings in a few days later, little chance of severing or disrupting the cable.

I use a 1 gallon paint can But finding with these 2 gallon grow bags I need a bigger can Joze.

I remember the first time i had to dig out a cable because it failed. That was irritating. Its a good idea to get them in early. Where I am, it sometimes takes a couple of weeks for the temp to stabilize, they run a little hot until the soil warms around the thermostat. It was only a couple of years ago that I figured out I should plug them in during install. Thats why you guys grow bigger pumpkins than me;)
