Plants are vining and going to lay down soon, do you cut the kickstand or not? I have done both and curious what others do.

Thanks

I cut it off once and it threw the plant out of balance and needed a lot of extra support after that. I wish I had never done it.

Luke, like Dale said. Deal with it if it's a problem (almost always is) and if your lucky and they lay nice without trimming .... Then good.

You only have to have one that bends or falls weirdly to never let it happen again.

Thanks guys, I asked since I will be making the cut today or tomorrow, and it really sucks to remove the biggest and healthiest leaf at this point. I have 2 plants so maybe I'll do 1\1.

Ive never trimmed one. The vine will roll 30 degrees and right itself.

All plants are different in terms of this problem. Digging a hole under the leaf is a better option than cutting and it usually works, but sometimes as hard as it is to do it, you may have to cut it off to insure the vine lands safely.

build a ramp out of some wood and dig a hole like cecil said.make the ramp a couple feet long.once it hits the ground you can replace the ramp with soil.

Luke, go with your gut...your a seasoned grower and this ain't your first rodeo. Ramps, hooks, ladders, pulley system....won't work.

Heres the ramp It worked great that was 2012.The whole point is to ease the plant down so it doesnt snap off.Sometimes you have to think outside of the box.Hard for some boyz to do.
