I wanted to let everyone know that I am appreciative of the interest from growers for my “Anthesis” spray that I have developed. I have done my best to keep up with the mailings and also answer questions that growers may have. I am hopeful for a good sample size this year based on the initial interest. The hours of research I hope pay off with growers getting new personal bests this year.
Also, I will be accepting orders only until April 30th, 2015, so that I can take up to the first week of May to prepare the necessary vials for shipment to any growers that are interested. There is a lot of preparation work that goes into this. Once pumpkin (and fishing) season gets into full swing my preparation time will be less, so if you are interested please contact me and get your order in. Those that have received their orders have been happy with my shipping method and appreciate the included instructions and option to get both a measuring and fine mist spray bottle. I try and make the directions very grower friendly and not like a lab protocol.
Lastly, I am happy to report that Tanner Conway (tconway) has agreed to run some trials of my formulation this growing season. He has access to some researchers at school who plan on running some independent trials. The tentative plan is to trial “Anthesis” on giant pumpkins, strawberries, giant tomatoes and maybe even some watermelons. I developed “Anthesis” to focus mainly on tomatoes and pumpkins, but it will be interesting to see how different crops will be affected.

There may be some tweaking of my formulation, but it seems the consensus is what I have this year is a very good start for phase 1 trials. I think the real shock to everyone is the small amounts that are included in the vials I send out. Yes, it only takes very small amounts to have a large effect on cell division. I assure you it is not just a drop, but a precisely measure drop that is made with a calibrated micropipette.
As always, if anyone has questions, please let me know.

Here is the link for more information regarding the science behind "Anthesis".

Anyone interested should contact me or post their e-mail and I can contact them.
The main goal is to increase the cell number in the pumpkin or tomato so that there can be more total weight at the end of the season. Cell division is limited and the goal of "Anthesis" is to increase the duration and rate of cell division.
