started one real early its doing pretty good....however one of the fully developed leaves has pm. If I cut the leaf off there will only be 2 other fully developed leaves. am I better off leaving it on or cutting it out? thanks.

6 weeks ahead of us down here. If I see a leaf like that, cut it off and treat the rest of the plant right away.

Cricklebee/SoCal, You guys bring up good question, is there an alternative to cutting off the leaf(s) due to PM?

City water and can only water two days a week. I'm working on a plan:) Don't tell the city!
I was taught to cut the leaf before the spores spread to the rest of the plant. Just a little breeze and the spores can jump through the whole plant from what I've been told.
If that happens, I have atomic warfare that will knock it out after one application. Being near the beach, pm gets me quick if I'm not proactive. I sure wish fusarium was as easy to deal with.......

yup. I live in Calaveras county about an hour east of Sacramento. I am waiting to see how crazy the rules get on water. hoping they go off my averages last summer cause I had 10 plants. lol. only doing 5 this year. My soil structure is way better this year. alott of green waste compost and peat. gonna mulch alott also. I ve been talking to Rob Globus and he really used a lot less water when he grew the 1928. I went with the 80 gal a day per plant last year and I rotted alott of stumps out. what do you use for atomic warfare on pm?

This is really early to have PM infect such a small plant. If it truly is PM you have an uphill battle. The key is prevention, but here we don't have to worry until late May when the humidity sets in.

I got mine from the OVGPG site cricklebee and haven't seen pm in two years.
There's a few great rotations on the site.

Eagle 20 for pm. I got a cutting a couple of years ago with bad PM.The neighboring plants had some pm in late may.I nuked the cutting with three rounds of eagle and wiped the pm out. The planting area still has a eerie glow :)
