I am so proud of Grace in New Zealand... It all started with planting a lil seed from the RMGVG Club seed Promo... and she has gone viral.. Check her out on FaceBook. Her Lucky the lil pumpkin is traveling the world...
She created - Pumpkin People make the world GROW ROUND> how special is that? Front page in the New Zealand POST...
Created the Southwell School for Pumpkin Growing... Check our their mission statement....

She makes Wizzy so Proud.. When she gets older I predict she will be the FIRST GPC President to arrange a GPC weigh off... on MARS... Give her your support and Kudos Please...

Grace Lusty is a driving force in the promotion of giant veggie growing in Australasia, especially New Zealand.

It's hard to believe she is 8 years old.

It's upsetting that New Zealand has such strict policies on the importation of seeds, which results in most seeds sent there being trashed by customs.

This has been a great season (2014/2015) for Grace in many ways and her pumpkin world has really grown .
she is having so much fun and lucky to be part of wider pumpkin galaxy with so much love for her work . Though she is only 8 she is doing great things for pumpkin growing in New zealand

was a successful New Zealand First and grow big in the end than one would have thought of . this started from how Graces young mind seen pumpkin photos on the net .

photos of celebrities in the usa getting pumpkins for helloween . she thought they grow them so she wanted celebrities here in new zealand to grow pumpkins too and so she set out to try
so letters with seeds got posted out . then she wanted a prize
to show Grace you dont have to have lots of money to have great things we made a cool looking trophy for an old one
then she wrote a letter to a supper market to see if they would give some thing the owner was so impressed he gave a hole trolley of goodies .
then grace wanted to pay it forward by giving that prize to a charity so asked each person in her comp to pick a Charity of there choice and if they won the got her trophy and there Charity of choice got the trolley of goodies .
this years winner was Paul Martin from a Top class rock Band called Devilskin .
His pumpkin was 63.5 kg or 139.9935 pounds . Grace went yesterday to drop off the prize to St johns our Ambulance servers This was a Big for getting alot more people to our carnival as well.
to add to the fun we got them to do a 5 min challenge Getting
they got to pick a pumpkin and a bag .
bags had a knife and a odd ball tool and they had to cave there pumpkin .
feed back from many of the people that come every year to the great pumpkin carnival it was a big high light and grace got so much feed back too .

This season Grace beat her PB with her two Giants so she was happy with 101.5 kg or 223.7692 pounds and then again with 112 kg or 246.9177 pounds pumpkin and lots of other prizes

Getting seed in to new zealand is now almost impossible by putting them on the post declaration but what they dont know wont hurt them so have now got some in in cards and a t shirt where there is a will there is a way just have to be tricky i guess

29th March Was the Day of days when the Celebrities came to the Great Pumpkin Carnival to put there pumpkin on the scales . Not every one has had luck this season but i must thank each of you who gave it a go . here is the Results

and the Winner with 63.5 kg Paul Martin from the band Devilskin who gets to keep the winners trophy and gets to give a trolley load of goodies to st johns his charity that was kindly donated by New World Rototuna

we also had some fun with them getting them to carve a pumpkin i grew the twist was they got to pick a bag that had some tools in it this was won by Aaron Pene

1st April 2015 Today i was invited by Paul Martin To come with him to drop off the Trolley load of Grocery's that Suresh & his team of Rototuna New World Gave as a The Big prize . Paul's charity is St John Ambulance and they where so happy to be Gift this as it is soon to be there annual appeal to get money to fund St John Ambulance service . St John plan to run a Raffle so it Really is the gift that just keep giving . The Hamilton Press also came along to follow up on there last story

This is just a drop in the bucket of what Gracey has done... she simply amaZes me.... and to think it all just started out by a RMGVG seed Promo sent down under... 2 years ago... Of course she has great support from her father... He is a super star for caring and providing for his lil pumpkin nutter as he calls her...
It gives me gooseys to see how she is growing up...and her energy and wonderful mind... Who knows what she will think up of next.....

At Southwell School we are the first school in New Zealand to have a Pumpkin club and we Challenge you to start a club at your school too. Its so much fun, the season runs from October To the end of march. Children are growing at school and at home but most important is they are growing there minds by giving it a go ,,..

Their season has ended with a big bang.... and our season is just starting to grow....She has taught Wizzy a whole bunch more... I am now her student... and she iZ the teacher...

The Great pumpkin carnival has let us make some Pumpkin racers To help out with the display at this years carnival to show off punpkin races so they can be raced for the first time at the 2016 Great pumpkin carnival. We made a kiwi , a Dog and a Dragster our ones looked Good At The Great Pumpkin Carnival and we cant wait till next year when the southwell pumpkin club will have its own race team ready to race for the first time in New Zealand
