Spring here early again this year trees have flowered, daffodils are up and almost done and the tulips are getting ready to open....Spring...ya baby it here!! But on our coast, winter is always still lurking up in the mountains.
This year I've had to mow my rye cover crop 3 times....we usually never need to mow before turning it all under in Mid April.
Good luck to everyone this year.

I think we skipped Spring and went right into Summer in Napa.

In Cali winter is January 1st, Spring is January 2nd in the a.m and at noon it turns summer until December 31st?
Spring is here too. Smallmouth have went from the subtle tap bites to the more aggressive hits. I also think I turned and tilled the patch too early, but I do this every year.
I feel for you all up east but it'll be there soon.

Still have 3ft. plus on the level over my garden. Looking at banks 5-8 ft. high down the driveway and they go probably 20 ft wide at that depth. On the bright side I have seen some people with banks at least 15 ft high on their yards

last year on Easter it was 75 degrees and I got a sunburn. It was 28 degrees without the wind on Saturday, snowed all day, snowing this morning. Supposed to hit the 50s by the end of the week but then bottom out after that again. We keep getting pouring rain and/or snow. Not sure if I will be able to till the patch by end of April and have warm enough soil to plant. I might just sit this year out

Yesterday I needed sun tan lotion. I was out shoveling snow of the patch while my husband was building me another pumpkin greenhouse. Today it has been lightly snowing. But since it is mostly melting when it hits the ground, that must mean spring is almost spring, right?

It has been 80-90 degrees in the last week here. All the snow in my patch is dark brown...
