Hi all I am looking for advise on adjusting ph levels in my water for the patch can I use a simple pool testing Kit ? and adjust with soda to raise and spa down lower ? Thanx heber trac

Avoid using any sodium based salts to adjust pH, they will negatively impact your soil, google sodic soils. Hydrated lime to raise pH (and add a little calcium), to lower pH nitric acid would be good if you can get it. Hydrochloric is OK but will increase the chloride

Forgot to mention, the above are for lowering pH which is what I am up against

What are the disadvantages of lowering the water ph with citric acid? are there any?
I have a PH of 7.9 in my soil and don´t want to upper it more...
