Help I need a math wiz! I am thinking about entering the 150 sq ft contest and I would like to grow in a triangle. How do I figure out the dimensions? Obviously, I never took geometry ;}. thanks

If your doing a Christmas tree pattern,like north shore said the main vine 15' and the secondary's 5' long on each side or 10' end to end on bottom. Or main 10'and bace 15' and last one main at12'-6" and bace 12'

A triangle 20' wide and 15' high is 150 sqft. Take width of triangle times the height and divide by two.
16' x 19' triangle is 152 sqft.
17' x 18' triangle is 153 sqft.

While we are on the subject;
Thinking about this (again) last night.
Where in the 150 ft. do you try and land the pumpkin, they take a lot of area. I had thoughts of levitating it on a platform so the area under neath could still have good rooting.
And, so what shape is best? Triangle, square, rectangle, L ?
I was in to start last year and was shocked to learn that AGs got no respect for boundaries. Don't look at it for a couple of days and it is 175 ft. It looked like a giant squid trying to get back to the sea. I had put up a 2x6 border around the bed and at the end in order to save the pumpkin I had to saw out part of one side as the pumpkin grew right through the border.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I've been scratching my head on where to try to land the pumpkin as well. So many things to think about. At least there is something to occupy my brain with all this snow!
