First, my apologies. I posted this originally in the Nutrient/Fertilizer section, but figured the General Disc page would get more eyeballs...

Big hello to all of you record chasers out there!

My name is Eric, and I am reaching out to the community for an exchange of goodwill. NPK-Industries is looking to sponsor a limited number of gardeners who are looking for a few new tools for their toolshed. We have a line of water soluble powders (www.raw-solubles.com) that have been used with great success from the hobby gardener, all the way to commercial agriculture. We are looking to validate the quality of our products by sponsoring a few gardeners, with the hope that one or more of you folks winning your respective competitions in the years ahead. Your winning fruits and veggies helps to promote our products, so there is a complete circle of goodwill and karma here.
Please check out our raw-soluble.com website and our educational website, growuniversity.net where we have some online, interactive grow classes.

Please contact me at:

Looking forward to winning in 2015!

Depends on the final strength of the product regular kelp can be 1/3 to 1 tsp per gallon for hydro

RAW kelp 1/8 to 1 tsp per gallon for hydro or soil

I would like to know the concentration per gallon of mixed product, A good test would be to grow 2 plants of the same seed to have a comparison, grow them side by side an example would be to grow two 1744 fulk plants, one with the test product and one without.
Genetics of the two seeds would still alter the results somewhat.

I have nothing against RAW I have never used it, and so far my grow history is to poor for me to compare them in the garden.

Hi All,

At a 1/8 Tsp per gal dosage, the RAW products will make approx 100 gallons of feed solution. We also recently came out with a One-Part Grow and Bloom. The dilution on those is 1-2 Tsp/ Gal. At 1 Tsp/ Gal, I'd say that gets my ppm up to 600.

I've gotten a very large response so far! We will be in touch in the next few days with more details.

Eric, just so you know,,, South bay Hydro had a good selection of your product but no " Grow " and wasn't sure what I was talking about today....

Always good to get feedback about your products.

I'll try " Hydroponic.net " later today. Very interested in this product for early season growth.

So.Cal.Grower I don't know about those guys... we did a RAW plant nutrition class there a month or 2 ago and told them all about it... Good guys, though.

You sent me an email for the sponsorship, right?

No, I have plenty of nutrients. I was just really curios to give the " Grow " a try and went by to get some today. Yes,,, the guys there were really nice,,,,,, Asian, right?

I'll give hydroponic.net a try. You mentioned them as being one of the most competitive with their prices.

Thanks for informing us about your product!

This is great to see more Nutrient companys get on board with the giants.Take the Bubba Challenge and see if your product can beat Bubba? It should be a exclusive. No other products in your patch as these size by side plants share the same root zone.Breeding beneficial s cant be contained in 1 area. The more competition the faster we grow as a sport/hobby spot.

Two plants sharing one root zone would still work as long as your not comparing beneficials. To me it seems hard to say a product improved your year if your using better genetics that year too , it has to be side by side to not include weather also.

Fertilizers wash into the soil the root systems are intertwined.side by side would not be accurate way to compare. You could grow them about 50 feet apart to be accurate. The roots will grow 50 feet in 1 direction by seasons end.Just my opinion.I grow exclusives.2014 was Advanced Nutrients.I did use cal carb from RTI.Other then that it was exclusive.2015 will be the same my 5 products.I dont think you can use several products without giving them all credit.

You sometimes hear people say that so and so product put them over the top,or made a huge difference over the previous year, you need control plants to verify the claims.

Claiming products have made a difference also wouldn't take in to account the improved growing skills of the grower, you may also be changing to a different brand ,but is it the product that is making the differance or the method in which it is used, like in the timing

Both are factors thats for sure.

A store manager told me that a customer asked him, "what's the best nutrients out there?" His response was to say, "Imagine you have a brand new Ferrari, Lamborghini, and a 2007 stock Corvette. You and I drive the new cars and Jeff Gordon gets the Corvette. Who's winning that race?"

His point, it's more about the gardener, than the nutrients. However, in a competition of master gardeners, the right nutrients, genetics, environmental controls (or lack of) will make the difference of World Record versus a personal best.

The more I learn about this sport, the more I wish I had space to grow my own Giants. Blessed with beautiful weather here but only have a porch for my tomatoes, blueberries and herbs.

I've gotten over 40 replies so far from the community. Amazing! I will be sending an email to you all asking for some info like shipping address, etc...

Thanks again to all those participating. I won't be able to get full sponsorships for everyone who wrote me, but I'll be talking with the home office to see what I can do about getting out at least a little something from us to help everyone's garden.

Hi all, I sent an email to all those who were interested in our program. I need a few details to figure out who is on our team. The entry period is now closed. Of all who I've emailed, if you email me back with your mailing address, I will try to make sure that everyone gets a little something to help out with your garden. Thanks for the support.
