For the 2nd time in the last two weeks we've had temps in the high 60s and low 70s. I've been seeing leaves starting to bud on the trees. It is going to be a harsh reality for some of these plants when they are reminded that it is February and we are in the Rocky Mountains.

Same in the southern section of the Midwest. I was wearing shorts Sunday. It's getting cold again, but the winter has been very warm and looks like we might get an early spring like 2012 . Overall that is not good

It is raining here now and suppose to get 2 inches of snow. We have none....which is unbelievable. Been warm with not much precipitation. Apparently the East coast wants it ALL this winter.

I loved that last diary post farmgirl! If I was a betting man,,, I'd put money on that snow along the walkway being a foot taller by the end of the weekend!

Scott, 7 weeks!!

Record high of 79 in Tulsa on Sunday. Looking at the hemispheric weather pattern, this late winter resembles 1978, when the most persistent cold arrived during the last week of February, and lingered through the first half of March. Well, the most persistent cold for the central plains down through Texas, that is. Take it from me, a former Air Force weatherman. ;)

Two weeks of the coldest weather in years predicted -
45 degrees would be a heat wave here..

It's been an extremely warm winter here in Idaho. Saturday was sunny and in the '60s. We are supposed to get close to that again this week.

Ya win some, ya lose some...

I'd be thrilled to hit 40 degrees at this point. We'll be shoveling our patches in June at this point!

The weather is strange, I think it was last year (possibly 2013) that looked to be a non starter for many with snow still around in May and yet people still managed to go on to have successful years

Last year around the great lakes we all got 90-100" of snow and 20 nights below zero it looks like it moved to the east this year.we still have the cold, but only one bad snow so far.
