I think YOU should go to the show. Leave the family at home but take them on a PUMPKIN CRUISE! (Cindi's advice)

One of the best weekends you'll ever have,,,,, but leave the family at home because its morning to night just talking and learning about pumpkins.
I'm missing this years but will see you Cindi at Elk Grove and I'll be up there for 3 days just hanging out and talking pumpkins!

Imagine the fun of hanging out with the guys talking pumpkins at the weighoff... Now multiply that by a couple days nonstop, and learning a few things along the way.
As far as the family - if they're not into pumpkin stuff, they will likely be bored unless they head out on the town.

Imagine 3 days of eating lunch or dinner with, having a few at the bar, talking and sharing with people that share your passion about your hobby, and being able to talk to the best of the best, on top of the structured presentations, it's definitely worth the trip. And I agree, if the family don't enjoy 24/7 pumpkins, they may not enjoy it.
