Been considering taking the wife out to Napa in May for our anniversary. Obviously we are going to hit wineries and tasting rooms. Are there any that you highly recommend? We also want to know where the locals eat and other food suggestions are welcome. Any other things I need to keep in mind? (we are going to be in San Fransisco too for a day or so)

Nah, she is obviously an incredibly patient woman. She puts up with my pumpkin obsession after all. Ya gotta do something nice for the lady that supports your pumpkin habit.

Listen to Cindi and Pete Glasier "Tumbleweeds" and they will not lead you astray. They have lived in Napa Valley for quite awhile. They grow very large pumpkins also, 2036 Glasier.

Not only do we grow the biggest pumpkins, but we have the biggest trees in the world. You have to see the Redwoods if you come out here.

Biggest pumpkins are grown in Europe currently. But Redwoods are far more impressive considering size and age and would be top of my list.

I did send a email with lots of info. I hope you got it sparcmat. I forgot to add hot air balloon rides and mudbaths in calistoga to the list of things to do. When you find yourself soaking in a tub of hot mud with cucumbers on your eyes u will know you are in california!
