Being overseas it took a while for my blu ray to get to me but it made it yesterday. Just got done watching it and it is without a doubt the best movie and or documentary I have ever seen about our hobby.

I admit that I laughed and at times had a tear in my eye during various scenes.

We never stop learning and I know I have learned even more about how to grow a big one.

The scenes with the growers and their wives/husbands was by far the best, Steve D. the look on your face was priceless.

Thanks to Daria and Mark for all of your efforts, to Utah and Napa for all of your input.

I am ready for 2015, at least mentally!

What impressed me the most was Daria and Mark's ability to bring the honest emotion from the growers, the humor, the amount of labor is involved and family/communities that support us. Sometimes their camera shots caught "our" honest emotions, about time!

I was happy to see that the scientific side of the hobby was not emphasized, the audience and/or newbies wouldn't have understood that. They can get that here.

Would have thought my post would have had more replies, but then I am just an old fart with a joy of getting to see how Utah/ Napa, and of course the great North West see things. I never would have had that in Germany if not for this blu ray.

Oh well, guess I need to just prepare my soil and wish all the best for this year.

The movie said some of the guys even go out and read children's stories under moonlight to their pumpkins before tucking them in at night.

I knew I was doing something wrong!

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It was nice to see what a good time those Utah growers have. Friendships, family, competition, having fun and growing pumpkins,,,,,,,, doesn't get much better then that.
