If your thinking of building a Greenhouse Dont think just plastic.Think screen I found a really good price on material. You can buy a roll 32 feet wide by 165 feet long.Or any length you like smaller then that.Let me know if your interseted.I will have a page up this season with a link to my new supplier.Great prices a new company.

The screen keeps the bugs out.lets rain through & heat out.Plastic gets way to hot.

It is not unusual here in Montana for temps to drop from 90 degrees to 38 at night.I try to retain as much heat as possible,so a screen house is out of the question

We use the screen to keep bugs out, hail out, damaging wind out. When cold nights comeI pull plastic over the house & remove in the morning takes a bout 15 minutes on & off.Plastic will let the bugs in without the screen so really you need both.

Bubba I will try that this year.My portable greenhouse does have screen windows but the plant out grows the 10 x 20ft cover and have to roll up the sides.Guess I need a more permanent structure

You can build a greenhouse for under 2 grand 1680 sg feet.I see a lot of them are over built. To much framing. Not needed. The shock absorber system of the Kin Cave stands at 70 MPH so far.

Very good.I get pickup truck load of used 2x4 at the dump every so often. That will make it cheaper yet, just have to pull a few nails

2 years ago it cost about 0.27 cents a square ft. And i built a 20x30 area for about $600 that is good for one plant. I never spray for bugs or disease anymore, nothing gets in.

Here in Montana the city sprays for sqeeters till the end of July so I have no problems until August. Then I get hit bad with alfalfa aphids.

Never had aphids get in, but never had aphid problem. Bubba how big is your screen houses ? Their pretty big ! 40x60 ? When building one figure on how many plants you wont to cover 1-2-3 mine is 600 sq.ft and about $600. I think bubbas around 1800-2400 sq ft. So im thinking it costs about $1-$1.25 sq ft to build.

The screen is also good for hail & shade protection.I noticed some people using shade cloth suspended over plants. It would be good for that also.If you are real interested just let me know I will have a link soon on my site. The price is really good about 15 cents foot. 32 X 100 would be 480$.plus shipping .I would have them ship it directly to you.The screen is good for 5 years or more.Shipping should be about 80$to 100$.

These bug screens work great,i would loose all my pumpkins to yellow vine every year for 10 years straight due to vine bores and cucumber beatles spreading that disease. The last two years the protected pumpkins are the only thing left at the end of the year. My cucumbers would get it first in july and all die and then most of the squash would get it in aug-sept and nothing has gotten into the screen house.

I suppose that this material will work well with mini-greenhouses as well? I will be making several wooden greenhouses along the lines of 5 feet by 8 feet, and it is a bit too warm here even in the spring to risk leaving a greenhouse closed when it is 75F outside.
