Hi, I have two plants that have just outgrown their mini enclosure. On closer inspection on them, i have noticed the main vine hasn't really came out and layed flat on the ground, kind of has came up and has a sort of an s bend i guess you could call it, so has a space between the mound and where it is laying flat and starting to run. I noticed both plants have a slight kink in the main stem, but look to be still growing ok, (only about 2-3 feet long) Should i try to pack it up to take the pressure of it or try to flatten it out? One of the plants has what looks like two separate main vines both growing in the same direction, the one with the kink is a tad longer, but should i remove this one and keep the second one? Sorry, a lot of questions, was just trying to get maybe a fix on this before it really starts off growing. Cheers.

Pack it up (dirt underneath )so the wind cant twist it. Tie down the leaf thats above that part of the vine. I use bamboo and a electrical cable tie to keep that leaf from twisting or cracking the vine. Keep the stronger vine on the plant with two vines even if its kinked a little.train the other as a side vine. Best I can advise without a photo

I wouldn't worry to much. On my 1399 I split the vine twice ,bent and kinked it to. I thought it was over for that plant. now maybe if only i made a few more mistakes it would of went over 1500. lol

Got a few photos up now, this is of the 1666 with the kink http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=232077 and this is the 2032, the top vine is the main vine, with the bottom being the back up if i decide to remove the main, both growing at about the same rate. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=232078

Picture one,the kink in the vine is not a problem. keep the leaf (as I said earlier) and cut the secondary vine that's sticking strait up that's with that leaf. That vine will cause problem so beat to trim it early. Picture two. keep the lower vine as the main. The upper kinked vine can be cut off or trained to the side as a secondary.Either way works fine. Nice healthy looking color on your plants. Now grow a slunger. lol That's southern US for grow a monster!!
