How long does it take to dry seeds ?

It might cook them. I unhooked the heating element. I'd say about a third of the time as air drying.

It depends on your method. First check the unit to see how low the temperature goes the unit I have has a herb setting which is about 95 deg F. much higher and you could cook the seeds. I run the unit for about 4 hours a day for a week with the seeds in the upper trays. About mid week the cellophane will slip off. The remaining days are to finish the drying.

I stopped using my dehydrator after I noticed burn marks on the cot leaves...so now I just let a fan dry them under the BadboyZ T5's. Works great

Put the seeds between a layer of newspaper next to the heating vent. In a few days you will have dry seeds. Ten seeds I dried this way in 2007 all germinated this year.

Just put them in front of a fan and stir them up a couple times, they will be dry very fast and you won't have anything to worry about.
