From the study's done it looks like urine has a n.p.k. of 11-1-2 to 15-1-2 depending on your diet. I'm wondering if it would be a worth while free source or N if your soil needs it. Its kinda gross to hold on to that much stankin pee. But.....I'm sure I can pee 30 to 50 gallons over the winter or more. I wonder if there's a down side to doing this? Can it go bad? It might be nasty but its free.

If I had to guess it would go bad unless frozen, and is it really worth it? 16$ gets me 4lbs of the nitrogen I prefer, calcinit. No space, no time, no hassle, no smell, no having to hide it from everyone you know lol.

Hmmm true. Well I don't need to hide it. I was thinking my coffee table could be 5 gallon jugs with a board on them.then my friends can just pee in the table jugs. That's normal.right? I won't look.

if you store it, the smell is fowl, fresh is best,,,
I have used it as a weed killer, kept pouring it on the same weeds on the lawn, worked really well

A grower in Sweden used to do that. Better to whiz directly onto the patch. Watch out for (way) too much salt, depending on your diet.

In an episode of the show "Unhappily Ever After" a nerdy kid becomes popular after he makes the football team, although his only job is to collect his own urine, so the real players can pass their drug tests. The mother discovers jars of urine in his room labeled with player's names.

According to what I've read, use fresh urine diluted 20-1 to water your plants. Another excuse to have a brew or two in the garden.

I would apply it directly to the compost pile, not to a plant you want to keep. Adding nitrogen to compost is always good.

Funny,
I have added this source of nitrogen to the compost pile often. I'm not so much worried about the birds as I am the mosquitos.

Thanks guys. Now I have this image of all of these men running around trying to "shoot" the SVBs. Running from crazed birds. I didn't need that. Thanks a bunch LOL
