Hello friends to the north. This year your post office purchased a photo of mine and turned it into a stamp, a great honor. Anyways they sent me lots of goodies including a ton of international stamps, way more than I need to save, and I live in the states so its not like I can use them. So I had a thought.
Is there any grower that has a ton of requests from growers from the states, I would like to pay for their postage with the 40 international stamps I'll send to you. If not and a club could use them that would cool too. I don't have much to give back to this hobby, but figured this would be a cool thing to do.

That would be a very nice donation to the GVGO. We are sending out BP to the US for our fundraiser & could use them very much. If your interested, please email me at
gvgo@i-zoom.net.
Thanks for your consideration. Have a great day.

Nice photo.
So how does the Canadian Postal system find you six years after you post a great photo on Flickr?

They actually found me about 4 1/2 years ago. That's how long they plan ahead, and they are extremely professional and nice. One the best experiences I ever had.

That's crazy how long it takes. Did they find that Flickr photo or did you have it elsewhere?

Found me on Flickr, sent me an email and then a whole lot of waiting. Back when flickr was a paid service it used to show traffic and where views came from more in depth. A lot came from google and yahoo image searches so I can't say that didn't play a role or not.

It would have been nice of them to list you as the photographer instead of two "stamp designers".

I doubled checked on some of the non stamp items with it, some have it like that some don't. Still great unexpected honor.

Being on a stamp is a big deal & honor. It usually only pictures of our country, the Queen, Parliament Hill, certain very special important dates & events in our country's history & famous people who have passed away. Even though your pumpkin has long passed away, it will live on forever in your eyes & the eyes of Canada Post. Stamp collectors, don't miss out getting this soon to be famous stamp. Cheers, Jane & Phil
