Does seed size have any bearing on the final size of the pumpkin? My 452 Rowe (1753 Bryson self)seeds are huge. My 1056 Rowe (1872 Wallace x 1650 Sproule) are 2/3 the size.

Means nothing. You do want them filled out good.A little white seed vs a huge brown seed doesnt influence which one I grow. Its all about the genetics contained within. Some of the best seeds in the past have been smallish. The 1161 rodonis is a example of this.

Also, some of the small, thin and ugly seeds can grow the best looking pumpkins like the 1059 Vincent McGill seed I grew.

The 1161 Rodonis was a small white seed. Size doesn't matter..Can't wait for these replies! Mark

I was wondering this and similar thoughts on color of seed too. I ran the gamut this year on seeds, but all of them germ tested 100%. One of the AG's gave me brown seeds with white stripes, another had brown seeds with green edges. Yet another must have thought it was time to plant because some of the seeds had two leaves.....inside the pumpkin!!! Crazy pumpkin, hold your horses!!
