Congrats to Alan Laginess and his 1343 personal best pumpkin grown off the 1734.5 Steil 13. With all the GPC weighoff’s now completed and the November 1st deadline coming up he is the winner of the $1000 first prize. While there were bigger pumpkins grown off the 1734 they had to make it in sound condition to a GPC weighoff. Congrats again to Alan the check will go out November 1st.

I haven’t decided if I will do a contest for 2015 yet. It will depend if there are ample seeds when I open the pumpkins.
