I really like carving stuff&&& couldn't get enough of that pumpkin.
I didn't want to leave seeds to long so cut open week off vine& decided to carve few days later.will they last longer if I don't break threw wall.any sprays few ole folks said viniger inside ????

Bathroom Cleaner covered by a wet towel, wrap in plastic, kept out of the sun. I can get jack o lanterns to last about 10 days when we soak them in a five gallon bucket with a cup of bleach, store them in the fridge

I put bleach in a spray bottle and sprayed all exposed insides after I carved mine. Worked really well. I also sprayed every coupe days to keep from molding. They say you can coat the exposed areas in Vaseline to preserve but might need a tub of it to do a giant pumpkin :)

Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle

I spray them inside with captan solution, and wipe the outside down with bleach solution.

Thanks ya..been wiping outer skin with bleach water while growing .I'll do it on inside.seems pumpkins will sit there till oxygen gets inside...just need a bigger pumpkin to sculpt& not go threw wall..saran wrap on inside might help
