I don't think it's a simple as a yes or no. Small levels of synthetic fertilizers shouldn't have a dramatic impact based on what I've read.
I'd be curious to see someone try growing without mycorrhiza and use trichoderma instead.
I believe Actinovate is now owned by Monsanto and Serenade is owned by DOW (if people care about where there $ is going). Just FYI.
