I wanted to ask about How much do you think that your plants benefited by using the hydro style products this year?I know you had the right genetics to work with but had a huge weight jump over last years pumpkins. Was this from the products or newer growing technics do you think? Thank you for your time.

I think the products played a large role on my weight increases . I used Piranha and Tarantula for the first time ever . They claim to be. 40 times stronger then there competitors. The weather was a big help as it was cool year , but we have discovered they like cooler then we thought.highs were 70s and low 80s all summer with night temps in the low 50s.i also did no tissue test this season as I found this was not needed. I learned to read the leaf. I will make a video this winter explaining all. If our winter weather is like last years colder then hell. I expect next year to be a repeat of 2014 . The ice caps are melting causing the cooler weather. So it maybe predictable.which is not the norm.stay tuned for Bubbas review of 2014

That's cool guys,I am trying a new line from Supreme growers this year and look forward to this next summers trials as this will be their first giant pumpkin grown with their products.Mark thank you for your time and advice.I also would like to know what Benji used for his pumpkins this year.I also read that the mico spore count is higher and smaller spore so it will ground penetrate and has no incubation period which means it starts working right away.

You really need to do an exclusive to find what works best. If you use different products in the same patch ? The root zones cross cross all over . My 2014 patch was a Advanced Nutrient Exclusive. Pretty good results for 52 degree nights all summer

They have a scientist at their lab that is looking into all aspects of giant pumpkins and will give me a plan to get started for next year. Also being in Montana and we have cold nights, they will be looking for special products to keep the plants as active as possible.I would say you had dramatic results with advanced products and a great year. You are an awesome grower my friend.I grew up in white cloud mich and am familiar with those cool summer nights.

I used some of the pirahna, tarantula and voo doo juice this year on just my 1813 Northrup. It was by far the most aggressive plant in every aspect I have ever had. The pumpkin blew on me but its daily numbers shattered all my previous years numbers in a spreadsheet I keep by a long shot. I grow in heavy shade and get 4 hours max of sun light and best in my yard was just over 500. This had 1k all over it. Ill be using those products again.

I pollinated on an asymmetrical lobes, and it was my only option and that is why I think I had a BES (back end was crooked). I don't think those products had anything to do with it. I wasn't fertilizing much and water was kept regular.
I was on clay, but have worked it into a nice mix with sand and OM the past couple years.
