Out of interest I measured the PH of the pumpkin juice after harvesting the seeds. It measured 6.0 exactly. I know my well water has a PH of 7.4. I know my soil PH is around 6.5. I don't know anything else lol but I now have the winter to think about it.

Don't know how/why fruits get so acidic. Tomatoes, grapes, apples, etc. I assume it's evolution at work making the fruit taste better to help spread the seeds.

I'll throw out an idea. During fermentation, which does occur naturally, PH is lowered by chemical changes way above my head.

What is the PH supposed to be after your nutes are added to the mix? The nutes could be the buffer bringing the PH down as well. Just another idea being thrown out there.
